Overview: dioctyl sebacate, also known as bis-2-ethylhexyl sebacate, referred to as DOS, is prepared by esterification of sebacic acid and 2-ethylhexanol. Suitable for PVC, vinyl chloride copolymer, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose and synthetic rubber. It has high plasticizing efficiency and low volatility. It not only has excellent cold resistance, but also has good heat resistance, light resistance and electrical insulation. It also has good lubricity during heating, which makes the product look and feel good. It is especially suitable for making chemical Book cold resistant wire and cable material, artificial leather, film, plate, sheet, etc.

Physical and chemical properties: colorless to light yellow liquid. Relative density 0.910 (25 ℃), melting point - 55 ℃, boiling point 248 ℃ (4 × 133.322pa), refractive index 1.447 (20 ℃). Insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, benzene and other organic solvents. It can be mixed with ethyl cellulose, polystyrene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride vinyl acetate copolymer, etc. Good cold resistance.

Application : It is used as chromatographic stationary liquid, toughening agent of plastics and low-temperature plasticizer. It is also used for lubricant synthesis It is also used as plasticizer for PVC cable material, cold resistant film, artificial leather and other resins. It can also be used as raw material for lubricating oil of jet engine
